Overview
This guide shows you how to wire your S&B Particle Separator to the Switch-Pros SP9100 power management system, giving you direct control of the separator through your Switch-Pros switch panel.
Step 1: Cut the Harness Plug
Begin by removing the plug on the S&B harness that normally connects to the bus bar. Cut the harness at the location shown below:
Step 2: Identify the Wires
After cutting the plug, you’ll see three exposed wires:
- Red – Power
- Black – Ground
- Orange – Accessory (Trigger)
Use the diagram below to confirm the wire colors and functions:
Step 3: Wiring to the Switch-Pros Module
Wire each lead as follows:
- Red (Power): Connect to the positive battery lead going into the Switch-Pros Power Module.
- Black (Ground): Connect to a chassis ground, ideally the same one used by the SP9100 module.
- Orange (Accessory): Connect to the output of any Switch 1–4 on the SP9100 panel.
⚠️ Important: Leave the relay and fuse inline on the S&B harness. These components are essential for proper circuit protection.
Final Notes
- Once installed, you’ll be able to activate your S&B Particle Separator directly from the Switch-Pros system.
- Ensure all connections are clean, secure, and weather-resistant.
- Test the switch after installation to verify everything is working correctly.
