Free DTE Calibration with an S&B Fuel Tank (2011+ Ford Powerstroke)
Buy an S&B Tank for your 2011+ Ford Powerstroke and update your truck’s Distance to Empty (DTE) — for free!
Every S&B fuel tank purchase qualifies for a one-time complimentary calibration service to update your vehicle’s DTE mileage to match your larger capacity tank.
S&B will send you an EZ Lynk Auto Agent 2.0 programmer to complete the calibration. A $500 credit card authorization will be held as a refundable deposit. You’ll have 10 days from the date you receive the EZ Lynk to complete your calibration and return the device using the included prepaid shipping label.
Once S&B receives the EZ Lynk back, the $500 authorization is voided. If the device is not returned within 10 days, your card will be charged, and funds will be refunded once the unit is received.
*Authorized S&B Dealers may use this service multiple times.
If You Purchased the Tank Second-Hand or From a Non-Authorized Dealer
If the tank was purchased second-hand or through a non-authorized source, the calibration service is available for a $75 nonrefundable fee, in addition to the $500 authorization hold. This fee also applies if you wish to use the EZ Lynk a second time for another vehicle.
Competitor Fuel Tank Owners
S&B is the only company offering this DTE calibration service. Owners of competitor tanks can still participate for a $75 service fee. When placing an order, add the fee as a separate line item labeled “Service Fee” for $75.
Shipping Information
S&B covers all ground shipping charges — both outgoing and return. EZ Lynk devices ship via FedEx Ground. If you need expedited delivery (Overnight or 2-Day), you may request it, but the customer is responsible for the additional cost.
What is an EZ Lynk Auto Agent 2.0?
The EZ Lynk Auto Agent 2.0 is a compact, OBD-II plug-in module that connects to your truck’s diagnostic port located under the steering column. It communicates through the Auto Agent mobile app (available for iOS and Android).
The device generates its own Wi-Fi signal, which you’ll pair your phone or tablet to for calibration. Watch this quick tutorial for a full walkthrough: EZ Lynk Calibration Process Video.
Supported Vehicles
Currently, the EZ Lynk Auto Agent 2.0 supports 2011–2021 Ford Super Duty trucks only. The tool does not calibrate DTE on Chevrolet/GMC or Dodge/RAM trucks, as those manufacturers calculate DTE differently.
For any questions about application coverage, please contact EZ Lynk directly.
Do Fuel Gauges Need Calibration?
No. The fuel gauge does not require calibration on S&B tanks (except certain Sprinter applications — see J51 article).
The fuel gauge measures actual fuel level directly, while DTE is a computer-estimated value based on fuel consumption patterns. If your gauge reads incorrectly, please contact S&B Technical Support for assistance.
